We had more than 6000 visitors this year and this is more than the organizators expected! We'll check out, that the flashconference will get a bigger room, so that's easier for the audience to join even overcrowded sessions... sounds good!

Now concerning my opinion for the festival I think it was fantastic, as you will also read in my site. And I feel very lucky for being there both as a speaker for Flash and as a simple attendant to all other events. Fmx gave me the opportunity to see interesting aspects of animation industry broadening my aesthetic and artistic visions. It was a unique experience which I recommend to anyone, who's interested in, especially to Greeks who really want to learn all the latest info for animation and film industry without travelling outside Europe . ..: thu may 03 - 11.45 am: the fmx press conference was visited by more journalists than ever ... and there were good contacts to the Süddeutsche Zeitung online edition, Kölner Stadtanzeiger, dot 17 - Computer Art Magazine... they seemed to be overwhelmed about the fmx program and they sharpened their pencils ... hearing that the fmx had about 1.500 people per day in the house ... yeah ... it's going on ... and our motto "ignore us ... at your own risk" ... seems to be true ;-)

..: wed may 02 - 02.10 am: Nvidia's fmx 07 opening receiption was a real meet-friends-platform... and there were under so many wellknown faces so many new ones! Good to see Jean Michelle, Paul, Vera, Constanze, Peter, Tina, Suzanne, Christine, jens and all the others... I missed Anuscha tonight, whom I expected to meet... and of course Paul Debevec in the Siggraph screening ... ok I have some more items on my to do list for tomorrow. Tonight there's a 12 hours live concert show on the 3SAT television ... easy working with coldplay right now! ... and it's full moon night!

..: wed may 02 - 01.00 am: Nicola Steller told me, that there's a media hype because of Roland Emmerich's workshop on friday! It seems that Roland will be the media and television hot spot this year! Wonderful! Christian Mueller - who was team member on last years realtime film festival - expects to meet Ilias tomorrow ... great! If you'll find a minute ... don't miss the Alex McDowell exhibition about film design in the digital age at the Haus der Wirtschaft / Turm B.

McDowell is a world famous product designer and the pioneer of the digital set design. he started creating detailed computer based scenarios, integrating it into traditional film sets. more information on the fmx website

Mario Klingemann has some information about his chumby project on his blog and... he will give a presentation about "The Blind Sketchmaker" on the FITC Conference in Toronto

..: tue march 27 - 00.45 am: ... finally back in Munich ... I'm still waiting for André Michelle's confirmation for his workshop text ... that's the reason why it's not jet live ... give me a couple of hours! The fmx confirmed his workshop slot friday May 04 at 06.00 pm and... they will present the "flash generation" from the international festival of animated film during the fmx!

..: fri march 23 - 02.20 pm: funny! André Michelle wrote me an email... and guess what! he will be in!!! wow! after all... I'm very happy, having him in Stuttgart again ... and ... he promised to make his presentation in English this year ;-) so cross your fingers! the workshop info etc. will be published soon on the flashconference program website ... so stay tuned!

..: fri march 23 - 08.00 am: ok folks - I'll start my personal Wolfgang Schmidt-Sichermann flashconference and fmx blog here again ;-) it was a great thing last year ... so let's try it again! Some asked me, why there's only a one day show this year... but the cost cuts made this necessary. During the last months I had many contacts ... I've been 3 weeks in NYC ... thx to Nina Paley ;-) and I'm proud to present you this year's program ... which will be again top notch !
