The 8th flashconference is the eldest European conference with regard to Flash (fromerly Macromedia now Adobe).
Flash is the name of a authoring tool platform and the flash player. It has become famous through the web (everybody knows the animations in browsers)
and is used to create rich media applications, games and movies.
Flash supports vector and raster graphics, bidirectional streaming of audio and video, and has its own scripting language, Actionscript.
It can be used to generate frame by frame animation as well as tweenings (a special flash feature) and realtime technology.
During the last years, flash films have changed the internet, business applications, games, film and animation (industries) radically. Flash plays a major role in today's business applications, film- and game development.

As part of the fmx , – the flashconference will take place May 05 and May 06 in Stuttgart – Germany. It focuses on innovative topics and offers knowlegde, inspiration and networking for everyone in the flash community. In addition the conference is becoming ever-more integrated with the fmx – the leading European congress for animation, effects, realtime and content.
The flashconference has a lively atmosphere : Colleagues give each other a hearty welcome – because it's good to meet in Stuttgart! Professionals contact producers and self-assured newcomers make their first contacts. For around three thousand filmmakers, industry experts , media representatives, programmers , and artists, the fmx is a sure mark in their calendars.
