The flashconference *) (www.flashconference.de) is
the oldest European conference for the flash format, which is well known
on the internet as swf ("swiff").
It was founded in 1998 in Stuttgart
, Germany , by Wolfgang Schmidt-Sichermann — a flash book author and trainer,
who is a member of a flash community of programmers, designers, and concept
workers from Germany , Europe , and worldwide.
The flashconference
has two focuses:
- news about flash, releases, innovations
- glimpses into
sectors which are important for flash such as sound, video, commercials,
business applications, etc.
The flashconference therefore always
had workshops for flash internals and presentations about 3D, art, technology,
architecture, commercials, film and video, web development, sounds, ring
tones, and cell phones.
The flashconference had international guests,
e.g. from Russia, Italy, the US, Canada, and Japan, to introduce their
flash, animations, and design aproaches.

a manufacturer's fair or a sales event. It was always executed in cooperation
with macromedia to provide valid input and information about the development
of the swf platform, the interfaces to and from other software platforms,
formats, and applications.
It always gave the audience the opportunity
to glance behind the curtain. The convergence of media and platforms on
the market led to the cooperation with the fmx.
You will meet friends
from the flash community in Europe , Asia , and North America . You will
make contacts with people from renowned companies!

us – at your own risk!
